The Laundry Edit brings together Gentle Laundry Detergent, the Cleaning Powder and the Wool Dryer Balls: everything you need to reach for to get a proper wash, top to bottom, no shortcuts.

✨ Gentle Laundry Detergent - scented with lavender, geranium and bergamot oils, this plant- and mineral-based formula handles everyday washing and delicates alike. No enzymes, no optical brighteners, no synthetic fragrance. This is the detergent The English Home named among their best non-toxic picks, alongside brands like Daylesford Organic and Faith In Nature and called out as having earned a permanent place in their laundry cupboard.

✨ Cleaning Powder - your laundry booster for loads the detergent alone can't fully handle. The sodium percarbonate in the formula releases oxygen once it hits water, lifting stains and deodorising fabric without bleach, and it's colour- and fabric-safe, so there's no risk to what you're washing. It's brilliant worked into a paste and scrubbed directly onto trainers and dirty shoes: mud, grass stains and that lingering shoe smell don't stand a chance. Add a scoop to your wash for heavily soiled loads, or use it neat for spot treatment.

✨ Wool Dryer Balls - the finishing touch. I curate these 100% natural wool balls to replace tumble dryer sheets and fabric conditioner: they cut drying time by up to 25%, soften naturally, and remove static, with zero added fragrance so they never compete with your detergent's scent. Featured in House & Garden's summer laundry edit, and built to last three to five years.

1. Wash
Pour the Gentle Laundry Detergent into your machine's dispenser. One dose (40ml) covers a standard 4-5kg load, adjust up to 80ml for hard water or heavily soiled loads. For hand washing, use 30ml.

2. Boost (as needed)
For tough stains, ground-in dirt, or anything that needs extra attention- muddy sportswear, grass-stained knees, grubby trainers- add a scoop of Cleaning Powder directly to the drum alongside your detergent, or work it into a paste with a little water and apply directly to the stain before washing. Leave for 10 minutes for a deeper treatment.

3. Dry
Pop three Wool Dryer Balls into the tumble dryer with your wet laundry. Add extra for bigger loads. They'll cut drying time, soften fabric, and reduce static, no dryer sheets required.

Always check garment care labels first, and patch test on an inconspicuous area if you're using the Cleaning Powder on delicate fabrics or footwear materials you haven't tried before.

A note on naturally occurring allergens: virtually all essential oils and some natural preservatives contain allergens that, under EU legislation, must be listed on cosmetic and detergent packaging. All Lavender & Lemon products use <1% essential oils and preservatives and are formulated in line with IFRA and preservative regulations. These may cause irritation in some people, particularly on sensitive skin, so we recommend a patch test if you have known sensitivities.
