How To Use

Spray on the surface, and leave for 30 seconds. Wipe with a clean dry, cloth. No need to rinse as the streak-free formula does not leave a residue.

Ingredients

Deionised Water is purified water that has had contaminants removed in order to maximize shelf life of the finished product.

Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside (<5% Non-Ionic Surfactant) is a highly effective, plant-derived biodegradable surfactant that is also used to emulsify essential oils. It is ECOCERT Certified.

Denatured Alcohol is a high-grade, non-toxic alcohol derived from plant-based ethanol that has been denatured to deter human consumption. It acts as a disinfectant and preservative and helps essential oils blend into the solution.

Benzyl Alcohol is an organic compound that naturally occurs in plants. It inhibits the development of microorganisms and is used in our water-based products to ensure that they are safe, stable and effective as part of our ECOCERT, COSMOS and Soil Association approved organic preservative system.

Salicylic Acid is a naturally occurring compound derived from fruits and vegetables and is used in our products as part of our COSMOS and ECOCERT approved natural preservative system.

Vegetable Glycerin is a natural thickener made from plant oils and helps stop skin from drying out. It’s also a natural preservative and is part of our COSMOS and ECOCERT approved natural preservative system.

Sorbic Acid is a naturally occurring compound obtained from fruit and is one of the most commonly used preservatives in the world. It is highly effective at prohibiting the growth of mould and is part of our COSMOS and ECOCERT approved natural preservative system.

Sodium Bicarbonate is a very effective abrasive cleaner and deodorizer and is also used to adjust PH. It is a naturally occurring ingredient that replaces many other chemical-laden, lab-derived ingredients in our daily lives. We use 100% pure, organic sodium bicarbonate.

Is All Purpose Cleaner antibacterial?

No, All Purpose Cleaner is not classified as antibacterial and does not contain synthetic antibacterial agents like Triclosan.

While All Purpose Cleaner is formulated with naturally antibacterial essential oils that provide some level of disinfection by nature, these ingredients are chosen for their cleaning effectiveness and aromatic properties rather than their ability to kill bacteria and viruses.

Triclosan is a chemical once widely used in antibacterial soaps, hand sanitizers, and various household products. However, concerns have arisen over its use due to potential health risks. Research suggests Triclosan can disrupt hormone function, contribute to antibiotic resistance, and may even impact the immune system. Due to these risks, its use in certain products has been increasingly restricted.

How long does the scent last?

Lavender & Lemon products are scented with 100% pure organic essential oils. You will smell the beautiful oils as you clean, but the scent will not linger in your home for hours because All Purpose Cleaner does not contain Phthalates.

Phthalates are a group of toxic chemicals used (among many other things) to “fix” fragrance to a product. They are why your house smells clean hours after you’ve finished cleaning it or why you can still smell your clean laundry days after it’s been washed. Phthalates are linked to multiple serious health issues, including endocrine disruption, cancer and developmental and reproductive toxicity.

Of course, we want our home to smell clean and inviting, but it shouldn’t be at the cost of our health.You can enjoy the scent of All Purpose Cleaner whilst you clean - similar to if you were diffusing essential oils -safe in the knowledge that it will not harm your health or leave toxic chemicals behind.

Lavender & Lemon labels include the < ! > warning symbol because our cleaning products contain very small amounts of naturally occurring allergens found in essential oils and preservatives that may cause an allergic reaction, irritate your respiratory system or irritate eyes. Legally, and for your safety, all cleaning products should be labelled appropriately and include accurate warning information.

If a cleaning product that you use contains essential oils and / or preservatives but does not include a warning symbol or claims that they are not required to, you may want to contact the manufacturer to enquire if all allergens and preservatives are listed and whether they conform with CLP and Detergent Regulations.

The cleaning sprays bought by my wife were and absolute hit, effective, good residual odour and reasonably priced. One of the few products we have ever bought refills for When we did the company and I had a hiccup with delivery (which was a delay by Royal Mail) - I sent an email on a Friday evening while it was in my mind and expected a response after the weekend - not a bit of it - seven minutes later my phone buzzed with an incoming from Morgan explaining when she had posted etc and sure enough, just after the weekend Royal Mail eventually did their bit - absolutely outstanding service, well done all at Lavender and Lemon.

The Lavender cleaner smells absolutely devine. Doesn't smell clinical like most cleaners and I love the metal bottle it comes in as opposed to plastic.

I’m often asked how long the scent lasts so I thought I’d use your mention of it as an opportunity to explain why the natural scent doesn’t last as long as you might hope (and for anyone else who might be curious).

Lavender & Lemon products are scented with 100% natural organic essential oils. As you kindly noted, you will smell the beautiful oils as you clean (similar to if you were diffusing essential oils), but they will not linger in your home or on your clothes. The core reason why natural fragrances fade quicker than synthetic lies in their very essence. Derived directly from nature, these fragrances are made of molecules that, like anything natural, are designed to biodegrade. When exposed to air, heat, and the myriad of surfaces in your home, they gracefully degrade, just as nature intended. This is in stark contrast to the enduring presence of synthetic scents, which can cling stubbornly to surfaces, fabrics and your skin due to Phthalates.

Phthalates are a group of toxic chemicals used (among many other things) to “fix” fragrance to a product. They are why synthetic scents linger in your home hours after you’ve finished spraying surfaces or why you can still smell your clean laundry days after it’s been washed. Unfortunately, phthalates are linked to multiple serious health issues so I have purposely excluded them from all Lavender & Lemon products.

Of course, I want your home to smell clean and inviting for as long as possible but I don’t believe it should be at risk to your health or the environment so you can enjoy the natural scent of Lavender & Lemon products whilst you clean safe in the knowledge that they will not leave any harmful chemicals behind.

Can't fault it

I was recently sent the all purpose cleaner, and I absolutely love it! I haven't used any other cleaners, as I love it that much. I have high gloss cabinets and a stainless steel hob, and both are sparkling from the cleaner! It leaves no streaks and smells divine! Very happy customer 🤍
