Here's what you won't find in our All Purpose Cleaner.

❌ No synthetic fragrance - scented only with pure essential oils of lavender, geranium and bergamot.

❌ No dyes - colourants add nothing to how a cleaner performs, so we leave them out.

❌ SLS & SLES free - we clean with a mild, plant-sugar (glucoside) surfactant, not sulphates.

❌ No phthalates - often used to "fix" synthetic fragrance to surfaces, and unnecessary when you scent with essential oils.

❌ Parabens & Phenoxyethanol - we use a gentle benzyl alcohol and sodium benzoate system instead.

❌ Formaldehyde & formaldehyde-releasers - our preservative system doesn't release formaldehyde.

❌ Isothiazolinones (MIT/CMIT) - none of these common preservatives.

❌ Triclosan & synthetic antibacterials - we clean rather than disinfect, so there's no need for them.

Spray on the surface, and leave for 30 seconds. Wipe with a clean dry, cloth. No need to rinse as the streak-free formula does not leave a residue.

Deionised Water is purified water that has had contaminants removed in order to maximize shelf life of the finished product.

Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside (<5% Non-Ionic Surfactant) is a highly effective, plant-derived biodegradable surfactant that is also used to emulsify essential oils. It is ECOCERT Certified.

Denatured Alcohol selected for its performance, safety, and responsible formulation. Made with a high-grade, denatured ethanol to meet UK regulatory standards, it is designed for essential-oil-based products. It evaporates cleanly, helps essential oils disperse evenly, and supports a streak-free finish without unnecessary stabilisers or synthetic solubilisers.

Benzyl Alcohol is a broad-spectrum preservative used in small amounts alongside sodium benzoate, so formulas stay protected across a wider pH range. Ours is sourced as a pharmaceutical grade meeting the European, British, Japanese and US pharmacopoeia standards, the highest purity benchmark for this material, from an Article 95 BPR-compliant supply chain, which is the UK standard for biocidal sourcing. It protects the product itself against bacteria, yeast and mould, keeping it fresh and effective for longer once opened. Readily biodegradable and non-formaldehyde-releasing.

Sodium Benzoate is a nature-identical preservative, COSMOS-approved and a deliberate step up from the technical-grade sodium benzoate found in many cleaning products. It's the salt form of benzoic acid, a compound that occurs naturally in fruits like cranberries and cinnamon. Only a small amount is needed to keep each formula fresh and stable against the bacteria, yeast and mould that can develop once a bottle is opened. Readily biodegradable, and free from formaldehyde and formaldehyde-releasers, unlike some older preservative systems.

Citric Acid is naturally found in citrus fruits such as lemons and oranges. Here it adjusts the pH of the formula and softens water, helping to tackle limescale and mineral build-up.

A quick note on naturally occurring allergens: virtually all essential oils and some natural preservatives include naturally occurring allergens that, according to EU legislation, must be listed on cosmetic and detergent packaging. All Lavender & Lemon products use <1% essential oils and preservatives and are formulated in line with IFRA and preservative regulations. As with any product, these naturally occurring allergens may cause irritation in some people, particularly on sensitive skin, so we recommend a patch test if you have known sensitivities. This information is shared for your peace of mind and the sake of complete transparency.

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
