Here's what you won't find in our All Purpose Cleaner.

❌ No synthetic fragrance - scented only with pure essential oils of lavender, geranium and bergamot.

❌ No dyes - colourants add nothing to how a cleaner performs, so we leave them out.

❌ SLS & SLES free - we clean with a mild, plant-sugar (glucoside) surfactant, not sulphates.

❌ No phthalates - often used to "fix" synthetic fragrance to surfaces, and unnecessary when you scent with essential oils.

❌ Parabens & Phenoxyethanol - we use a benzyl alcohol and sodium benzoate system instead.

❌ Formaldehyde & formaldehyde-releasers - our preservative system doesn't release formaldehyde.

❌ Isothiazolinones (MIT/CMIT) - none of these common preservatives.

❌ Triclosan & synthetic antibacterials - we clean rather than disinfect, so there's no need for them.

Swap a cupboard of single-use bottles for calm, conscious cleaning without compromising on performance or pleasure. Once you try it, you'll start looking for things to clean.

Spray on the surface and leave for 30 seconds. Wipe with a clean, dry cloth. No need to rinse: the streak-free formula doesn't leave a residue.

Suitable for most hard surfaces. We recommend you patch test delicate, unsealed or natural surfaces first.

Use on cool surfaces only. Do not spray near open flames.

What each ingredient does

Deionised Water is purified water with minerals and impurities removed, so it doesn't interfere with the formula and helps keep it stable.

Denatured Alcohol and Isopropyl Alcohol are selected for performance and a streak-free finish. They're the same everyday alcohols found in perfumes, hand sanitisers and skincare. The denatured alcohol is a high-grade ethanol, denatured to meet UK requirements and designed for use with essential oils. Together they evaporate cleanly, help the essential oils and preservatives stay evenly dissolved for a clear formula, and leave no residue. Both are readily biodegradable.

Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside is our cleaning ingredient: a mild, plant-derived, biodegradable non-ionic surfactant that lifts grease and dirt and helps disperse the essential oils evenly through the formula.

Benzyl Alcohol is a broad-spectrum preservative used in small amounts alongside sodium benzoate, protecting the product itself against bacteria, yeast and mould so it stays fresh once opened. Ours is a pharmaceutical grade meeting European, British, Japanese and US pharmacopoeia standards. Readily biodegradable and non-formaldehyde-releasing.

Sodium Benzoate is a nature-identical, COSMOS-approved preservative: the salt form of benzoic acid, which occurs naturally in foods such as cranberries and cinnamon. Only a small amount is needed to keep the formula fresh. Readily biodegradable and free from formaldehyde and formaldehyde-releasers.

Essential Oils - Lavandula Angustifolia Oil (Lavender), Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil (Geranium), Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Fruit Oil (Bergamot). Our only source of scent.

Citric Acid occurs naturally in citrus fruits; ours is produced by fermentation. A tiny amount is used, only if needed, to keep the formula at a neutral pH.

Linalool, Limonene, Citronellol occur naturally in the essential oils and are listed because they are fragrance allergens.

A quick note on allergens: essential oils naturally contain fragrance allergens, and our preservative, benzyl alcohol, is also classed as one. Under UK and EU detergent rules, all of them must be listed on packaging. Citronellol, Linalool and Limonene come from the essential oils, which we use in small amounts, in line with IFRA standards. As with any product, these allergens may cause irritation in some people, particularly those with sensitive skin, so we recommend a patch test if you have known sensitivities. This information is shared for your peace of mind and the sake of complete transparency.
